What is Centrophenoxine (CPX)?

Centrophenoxine (aka Meclofenoxate and Lucidril) is one of the oldest cholinergic compounds. There are a lot of scientific research articles and clinical studies supporting Centrophenoxine effectiveness published over the last 50 years. Structurally, Centrophenoxine has DMAE as one of its components. DMAE itself is a well-known and popular nootropic naturally found in some foods, especially fish. DMAE is a natural metabolite of choline that is essential for the optimal brain function and many cognitive processes. Compared to DMAE, Centrophenoxine is better absorbed by the brain. Therefore, Centrophenoxine capsules are well-absorbed orally, which makes them one of the best cholinergic nootropics.

Centrophenoxine has been shown to improve memory, learning abilities, alertness, attention span and concentration. It is a powerful nootropic used to protect the brain health by removing the naturally occurring waste from the brain cells. Due to such effects, Centrophenoxine can help people with age related cognitive degeneration problems, such as dementia. Its effectiveness has been demonstrated by the researchers using Centrophenoxine in patients with Alzheimer’s disease. Clinical studies have reported a big improvement in symptoms following the use of Centrophenoxine.

Nootropics users take Centrophenoxine as a cognitive booster and an anti-aging product rather than actual medication. Some users call Centrophenoxine a ‘brain metabolic stimulant’. Centrophenoxine is also one of the best memory enhancers currently available on the market. It works particularly well with the long-term memory formation, storage and recall. Because Centrophenoxine increases the levels of acetylcholine in the brain cells, it can be a great option for stacking with other nootropics (more information on this is provided below). For example, Aniracetam, Oxiracetam, Noopept and other some other nootropics work by altering the levels of acetylcholine neurotransmitter. Thus, Centrophenoxine is a great choline source to be used alongside these nootropics, particularly racetams.

Overall, Centrophenoxine is a safe and effective compound that can help people many different ways. This includes helping them to keep the brain healthy and slowing down the signs of aging. Thanks to these cognitive benefits, Centrophenoxine capsules are considered to be one of the top cognition enhancing products on the market.

Key benefits:

  • Improved mental performance
  • Better long-term memory
  • Neural enhancement
  • Neural protection
  • Neuro-energizer
  • Great antioxidant
  • Brain anti-aging effect

Recommended dosage:

The recommended daily dosage of Centrophenoxine is between 250-1000 mg. This should be taken in two equal administrations throughout the day. It is advised that you take Centrophenoxine in the morning and early afternoon, preferably with a meal. By taking Centrophenoxine in the late afternoon/evening you may experience sleep disturbances and difficulties as it is known to increase user’s energy. As with other nootropics, the exact dosage of this product largely depends on individual needs and primary purpose for using it. Therefore, you should start with the lowest dosage of Centrophenoxine and adjust according to its effects and individual demands. For those users, who are planning of taking Centrophenoxine capsules for a prolonged period of time, as little as 500 mg a day is a generally a safe and sufficient dosage. There is some evidence suggesting that Centrophenoxine has long lasting effects.

Usage of Centrophenoxine in a stack:

Centrophenoxine is a great cholinergic to be used in a stack, particularly with racetams. However, when stacking Centrophenoxine capsules with other nootropics you should adjust the dosages accordingly. If you were to stack Centrophenoxine with any racetam, the recommended ratio should be 5:1. For example, 2.5 grams of Aniracetam would be used with 500 mg of Centrophenoxine. It is important to reduce Centrophenoxine daily dosage if you use other sources of choline, such as Alpha GPC.

Centrophenoxine side effects:

Centrophenoxine is considered to be safe, non-toxic and very well tolerated compound. However, some side effects have been associated with it, albeit rare and mild. These may include headaches, fatigue, nervousness, nausea, diarrhea and dizziness. Centrophenoxine should not be taken by people suffering from high blood pressure, epilepsy and during pregnancy. If you experience any of the above listed side effects, reduce the dosage or discontinue the use altogether. The unwanted effects should stop within days. In addition, avoid taking Centrophenoxine under the tongue. It was reported that sublingual administration may cause skin problems, such as rashes and irritations.

Great stack with racetam
I used centrophenoxine with pramiracetam, Virtually everywhere advises you to use a choline source when using a racetam, so i decided to go for centrophenoxine. Ive certainly had no headaches from the pramiracetam when using centro, also haven't felt sick which I have read others have when no using a choline source so it seems to be doing the job right.
